As El Segundo Middle School draws closer to becoming an official International Baccalaureate World School, we are mindful of ways to promote global mindedness in our students.  While we are fortunate to have such strong schools in El Segundo, we want to encourage students to embrace their community, but to also think beyond about our interdependence with others around the state, country and globe.  The recent installation of our Rotary Club's International Garden is the first physical manifestation of this principle on our campus.  We hope it will be an educational tool for our teachers to explore plant life and how flora from around the planet are often every day sights in our community.  We also hope it will provide a tranquil place for students to relax, explore, and just enjoy.   We are fortunate to have the support and generous grant from the Rotary Club - they have made a significant contribution to our school environment.
