Rotary Club of El Segundo

The El Segundo Rotary Club was started in 1952 with the help of our parent club, the Manhatten Beach Rotary Club. Starting with 27 members, the Club quickly grew and now stands at approximately 60 members strong.

 El Segundo Rotary Club is committed to making a difference in this world in many different ways; both within El Segundo and across international borders. 

•  Supporting the local food bank here in El Segundo and sending emergency fund and supplies to help the survivors of natural disasters abroad.

• Supporting the El Segundo Educational Foundation and local teacher mini-grant programs and helping build, equip, and staff schools in Tijuana and Guaymas, Mexico.

• Providing an annual Holiday Luncheon for El Segundo seniors and sending Shelter Boxes to provide short term shelter for people displaced by disaster.

• Providing student scholarships to high school seniors in El Segundo and funding student scholarships in Guaymas, Mexico.

• Honoring the best of our public employees at our Annual Community Service Employees Luncheon and bringing kids together with our local police officers at our annual Cops and Kids Day Luncheon.

The El Segundo Rotary Club "Movie in the Park" has become a very popular and successful summer community event in the  South Bay. Each  August, the "Movie in the Park" brings together families from throughout the South Bay area for an afternoon and evening filled with laughter, good food, kid's activities, exciting raffle prizes, and a family movie shown on a giant outdoor screen in a festival outdoor setting.

Talented people that are making a difference, enjoying each other, and are helping solve problems locally and throughout the world, this is the El Segundo Rotary Club.
